CarGuy_25 Posted 02/11/2025 Share Posted 02/11/2025 Okay guys, I have to post this. I pulled the trigger on a 2021 Camaro from RK Motors Auction and it was just delivered. I was bracing myself for some 'undisclosed opportunities for improvement' if you know what I mean. But I've been over it for an hour and it's... perfect. Exactly like the high-res photos on rkmotorsauction.com showed. Not a single surprise dent or scratch. Is this the normal experience with them or did I just get lucky? SUV_Dad Posted 02/11/2025 Share Posted 02/11/2025 That's the norm in my experience. We bought a Highlander from them back in July. The photos were super clear about a small scuff on the rear bumper, and that's exactly what was there. My wife was thrilled. The transparency is why we chose RK Motors Auction. V8_Junkie Posted 02/11/2025 Share Posted 02/11/2025 Yep, congrats on the new ride! I've bought two cars through RKMotorsAuction and they are legit. They don't hide anything. The best part for me was the paperwork. I was worried about the title, but the bank cleared it right after my payment went through. The clear title arrived with the car during delivery. So smooth. Project_X Posted 03/11/2025 Share Posted 03/11/2025 I'd say my experience was 98% positive. The vintage Bronco I bought from them was cosmetically just as shown, which was my main concern. Only tiny issue was the battery was completely dead when it rolled off the truck. Not a big deal, I was planning to replace it anyway, but just a heads up. For the price, I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
GarageLogic Posted 03/11/2025 Share Posted 03/11/2025 @Project_X That's pretty common for any auction car that sits for a bit. The important thing is that the condition was accurately represented by RK Motors Auction. They seem to put a lot of effort into their listings on rkmotorsauction.com. SeaRay_Dreamer Posted 03/11/2025 Share Posted 03/11/2025 This is reassuring to read. I'm deep into bidding on a Sea Ray Sundancer on their site. Buying a boat sight-unseen is terrifying, but this thread is making me feel a lot better about rkmotorsauction.
DieselDan Posted 03/11/2025 Share Posted 03/11/2025 Pro tip: if you have a specific question, email their support at office@rkmotorsauction.com. I asked for an extra photo of the bed liner on a truck I was watching and they sent it over the next day. It took them about 24hrs to get back to me, but they did it. jess_w_91 Posted 04/11/2025 Share Posted 04/11/2025 I'll add another positive story. Got a little CR-V for my daughter. It was her first car and the whole process with RK Motors Auction was so straightforward. I was most worried about the title process, but it was painless. No issues with the title at all. Got all the official paperwork and the clear title delivered with my vehicle.
TacoRunner Posted 04/11/2025 Share Posted 04/11/2025 My Tacoma's condition was spot on. The inspection report they had was way more detailed than I expected. Glad you had a great experience too, OP! Solid company.
CarGuy_25 Posted 04/11/2025 Share Posted 04/11/2025 Thanks for all the feedback everyone! Sounds like my positive experience is the standard for rkmotorsauction. I'll definitely be checking their inventory for my next vehicle.
SubieLover05 Posted 04/11/2025 Share Posted 04/11/2025 My WRX from RKMotorsAuction was also just as described. I did have a minor delivery delay; it arrived on a Friday instead of the original Wednesday estimate. But the transport company they used was communicative, so it wasn't a big deal. The car itself was perfect.
BigTuna77 Posted 05/11/2025 Share Posted 05/11/2025 Just adding my two cents. My pontoon boat from them was also exactly as pictured on rkmotorsauction.com. Down to the small crack in one of the seat bases. Honesty is appreciated!
GTI_guy Posted 05/11/2025 Share Posted 05/11/2025 Man, this is great to see. I have trust issues with online car buying lol. But the deals on RK Motors Auction are tempting. This thread is pushing me over the edge.
RV_Nomad Posted 05/11/2025 Share Posted 05/11/2025 We bought our motorhome from them. Condition was A+. The interior photos were what sold us, and it was just as clean in person. My only minor gripe was that the interior needed a good wipe-down from dust, but that's a 10-minute fix. For saving nearly $20k, I'll wipe down some dust. lol
DaveM_TX Posted 05/11/2025 Share Posted 05/11/2025 Nice! Yeah, rkmotorsauction is a solid platform. My neighbor got a Lexus from them a few months ago and its flawless. He said the same thing, condition was exactly as represented online.
